On I-765 item# 11 it asks us "Date". Which date are they referring to? Cause I had applied for OPT EAD twice (duration of 6 months each). Can someone pls let me know.....

I started to notice this back in 2006 when the immigration debate was heating up in Washington. I was getting those annoying email forwards and this time they were of the Lou Dobbsian anti-immigrant variety. The surprising thing to me was that most of them were coming from older family members or acquaintances in the senior citizen set. October is usually a month where we see improvements as new visa numbers become available for a new fiscal year. Most categories showed forward movement though few jumps of more than a few months. The exception is the Mexico Family 1st category which jumps a year and a half. EB-3 is available again, but not set at a date particularly close. Most people will not be happy with the dates. Pl. advise what all documents do I need to send to USCIS for extending stay on visitor visa for my parents.From all the sources I read so far here is the list of documents that I feel that needs to included :
1)I-539
2)Letter to USCIS (from me the sponsor) explaining the reason for extending the stay.Please post any letter format that I can use.
3)Copy of parents passport
4)Copy of I-94
5)Copy of original return ticket (with return date in 6 month from 1st entry)
6)$300 fees
Questions :
Do I need to sent I-131
Do I need to send bank statement and recenet paychecks
Do I need to buy new ticket for extended date and send a copy?
This is a last minute decision.I-94 expires in 3 weeks.PLease help .

I applied for I485 like many others in July. I just heard my group may be spun off from its parent company and might be funded by VCs. Does this mean I cannot use my LC/I140? If/When I get my EAD will it be valid?

Hi, I have my labor approved by Company A and I140 filed as soon as I got the labor. Before this I140 got approved I changed to Company B who filed for my labor and applied for I140 as soon as it got approved. My I140 with company B got approved and then the I140 with the old company A got approved 3 months later. Can I somehow get the old PD. Can some one who have been in similar situation or know some one in the similar situation answer this. I will be able to get a 2 year advance if this works out.

Hi Guys:
My wife is out of country from October 2010. She was working on H1B. After birth of our son, she went to India for 6 month vacation. Will there be any issues if she re-enters US using H1B as she is having a job to continue with her employer.
What are all the documents I need to take.
Please advice.

One of my friends has goofed up his labor filing:
His actual date of termination with his previous company was 5/31/2007, but in the labor filing he has said that he was employed with the previous company till 6/30/2007....
he is ready for filing his 140(EB2)? can he correct his dates of when he files for 140....

Do note that AILF does cover people who were eligible to file in July but did not file due to USCIS/DOS revised bulletin.....However, it is unknown at this time what the outcome of the lawsuit would be for July applicants vs eligible but non-applicants as the decision is at the discretion of the Judge.....

Hi,
My L1B visa & petition with Company A runs upto Sep this year.
I'm applying for H1B petition with company B this year.
my current Company A will try to go for L1B petition extension, so that I can continue being here beyond september.
My concern is if these 2 will clash with each other ?
One of my friends said that whichever petition gets approved latest - will be the one that holds good.
So if L1B extension gets approved after h1B, will that negate H1B ?
and vice-versa ..
