Hi, my friend have not receive her fingerprint, her husband filed for I-485 on june 2007. their PD is 2004-ROW. their case forwarded into TSC. do you think this is normal ? what is the possible solution for this issue ?

GC/485 is for a future job.So if your former employer is willing to not revoke your 140 and answer ability to pay issues if required,then i guess you can file 485 with your old employer.

Dear experts/Attorneys,
Please help me. My EB2 priority date in 21Nov 2007. My I 140 is approved and yet to file for I 485. Now at work I have promotion offer from Sr developer to Team lead. Technologies I work for won't change, but I have to change my work location to different state in this case
do I have to file for PERM and I 140 again?
If I have to file 140 can I retain priority date?
Is there any other option for me to escape PERM refiling other than not accepting promotion :)?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

My I-140 (National waiver approved, no labor required, self-petition) is approved, both me and my wife are working on EAD. Have valid AP till Oct 2009. 485s filed July 2007.
Today, on 10th, my wife (dependent 485) got hard LUD, "request for evidence notice sent" is the update.

Update: 12th Nov
The RFE is for absence of child's name (my wife) on the birth certificate. They wanted another birth certificate, hospital document or religious record or civil authority record that shows her name and both the parents names. They gave us 90 days time.

Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? I have I-140 approved from my old employer. My new employer is starting my PERM. We plan to port my old priority date. My question is at what stage of GC process from new emplyer can the old priority date be proted - PERM, I-140 or I485?

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has suspended processing of the approximately 5100 non-immigrant visa appointments scheduled Monday, April 27 through Wednesday, April 29. In the US, All USCIS offices remain open for business. Applicants should plan to attend all previously scheduled appointments, interviews and ceremonies unless they are feeling ill. It seems that re scheduling due to illness is a perfectly acceptable reason.
There are no reports of problems to enter the US from Mexico, no refusals due to Swine Flu issues as of now. But this may well change as the issue develops.

just finished going thro all the proposed ammendments...only a handful (1154, 1156, 1166, 1183, 1200, 1220, 1242, 1249) deal with EB issues at all....very few of them are positive (3) for us.........also based on an article on immigration-law website, EB based people have no voice in the negotiations!!! so...as frusterating this may be.....its looking like a certainity that many of us will be screwed big time..........lets keep doing what we can through IV.......it looks all dooms though.........:mad:
