Hi Gurus,
If you look at my signature, My 485 has been transferred to TSC from NSC and AP is still stuck at NSC. I have some emergent situation back home , I have faxed the doctor certificate and called USCIS using POJ method and the guy says it might take another month. wat the *****....tried infopass..my local office doesnt have no more appointments.
My questions:
1. Can I take Infopass appointment anywhere else which is not my local office?
2. Can I apply a new 131 application at TSC as my 485 is there now?
Someone pls advise.

Hi,
My Spouse Application was rejected due to incorrect fee though the USCIS were accepting application with old fee till august 17th! It was filed on August3rd! and it was with old fee! Will it be accepted if we send a letter that the fee was right the first time!
Has anybody's both primary and spouse applications got the receipts with old FEES and had applied in AUGUST, Pls reply asap as my spouse application rejected and we had applied on august 3rd!

i am waiting for my priority date to become current to file for I-485. But it looks it'll take forever, as evident from May 09 visa bulletin, in which the visa dates are unavailable for EB3 India category. Do you know why dates are retrogressing or stagnant in bulletins after bulletins.
I have another question. My birth certificate is in an Indian language which was issued from the panchayat office where I was born. I want to know if that can be translated to English right here in US for I-485 application. Can somebody else who is not related to me write the translation in English and then get it notarized? If this is the case, then I don't have to go to India or get it done from there from the panchayat office, because this may take a long time. If anyone had tackled issues such as this, please share.

Well I stand corrected. Last night I reported that Rima Fakih was born in the US to immigrant parents. That's what the one biography I could find that listed her birth place actually said. But a day is a long time in the news cycle and we know a lot more about America's newest sweetheart. She was, in fact, born in Lebanon and immigrated as a child. Guys. Is this 7% country limit a hard or soft one ?. Assuming 1,40,000 total immigrant visas, India would get 7% of it and that is 9800. Then you have the preference category. Assuming there are unused immigrant visas from other countries, how do they get allocated ?. Does anyone has clear idea ?.

Do you know how long it takes for the SWA order to be posted after a job order has been requested with the SWA?
Is it immediate or does it take some time for the SWA to process the job order and then post it?
Also do you know where we can see the job order after it has been posted? Is there a public site where we can see the jobs?

Hi,
My H1B was approved with a start date of 12th Dec 2010. However, the paperwork for the position has not been completed as yet by the HR of my employer and now they tell me that the start date of my position will be around the middle of Jan 2011.
This means that I will not get paid till the actual start of my position. So what is my legal status right now.
I have been told that on a H1B visa, If I am not working and getting paid for the position I was approved for, I am illegal.
Please advise me as I still have time to convey the issues to get the paperwork done right. What happens if my H1B start date is the 12th of Jan and my job paperwork shows position and pay from the 15th of Jan?

My I140 was filed 10/01/2007 and it got approved Jun 4th,2008 I think the processing dates are little misleading.

I came to US on L1(worked for 1 year) and then switched to F1 till getting my H1B on May 2005 (which is 2 years old). How many years(3 or 4) do I have left on H1? I mean will the 1 year L1 count towards the total six years allocated for H1B?
